Im hoping for a nanny before season closes.Got me some 2216's, tried to get zwickeys but ole man at the store said they would'nt fly good? I got some Magnus stingers, bought all he had. I hope this works. I started anchoring with my top finger to corner of my mouth is this what yall do? I never shot a trad bow before i shot a compound a long time. Im hittin pretty good at 15 yards. Thanks for any help!

Welcome the 'Gang and the trad world.  Nothing wrong with Zwickeys but nothing wrong with Stingers either.  I anchor with my middle finger in the corner of my mouth, not too much different.  If it's working for you, don't change, consistency is the key.  Good luck getting after the does!     :wavey:

Welcome to tradgang Cliff.

I shoot split finger. It just seems natural to me, but some like three under better. Do lots of reading and practicing you'll be out shootin me in no time. Lin

Welcome to the tradgang family!

Enjoy the journey with the rest of us.

I also shoot split finger but use my middle finger on the tip of my eye tooth as my anchor point. It puts the arrow closer to my eye.(IMHO)

I can suggest taking a look at Masters of the Barebow I,II and III.

God bless,Mudd

Welcome!  You'll have to soak in all there is about shooting etc...and decide on your own about many things.  This is a great place to learn about the options though.

Check out the Shooters Forum for more hints/tips on shooting.

The "Ol Man" at the store don't know jack about Zwickeys and arrow flight. They will work fine out of your setup.

Stick around here long enough and you will learn everything you need about Trad Bowhunting. Good luck in your new trad venture.
