Blessings to you brother. I have a while to go but all tell me it gets to be real fun.  May our Lord shine on you.

David you deserve 3 new bows! Being a pastor is a 24-7-365 affair that never sleeps. Congratulations on helping people for 45 years and good luck with your "retirement" and new bow.

Caution guys -Don't be fooled by the minister stuff. I would imagine David is no different than Mark Eddings and another minister I regularly shoot trad with. They both, will pray behind your back!

Dave: I retired 10 years ago and have been so busy I wonder how I ever got anything done when I worked. It's true....you will be surprised.

Hope to see you in the not too distant future at Eldon's again, hunting bear. I won a Stalker longbow that I plan on using on the bear hunt this year. Not having shot a long bow in many years I hope that it is a shooter. It's nice getting new things every once in a while.

This must be a Minister thing.  I got a Northern Mist Classic a couple of months ago figuring it would be my retirement bow too!  Good luck in your retirement and I know God will continue to bless you and those you still minister to.

Congratulations David, for what should prove to be a great new chapter of life (and a new bow to boot!).

Dave I think you should take your retirement bow on a retirement hunt with us up to Eldon's place in Maine next September. There are four of us now One more would be great.

When our plant closed they payed out the employee stock in a lump sum. I rolled a big chunk over, remodled most of the house, and ordered my retirement bow.......a Brackenbury Quest!

Good news is the Brack is awesome! Bad news is I'm only 51 and will be working for quite awhile yet.

Congrats on your retirement, and your new longbow!

David, congrat's on your retirement and your excellant bow choice. Wouldn't mind having a green glass one myself.
Been retired since February 2004. I did get a 54LB @ 28 ,66" Shelton after my retirement. Only problem I didn't quit gettin bows! I got a few more since but the Shelton is my favorite.

Congratulations David! When one of my favorite pastors retired several years ago he seemed to be even more busy as a guest preacher!

Hey,, folks, thanks so much for the encourageing words.  I need them....tomorrow is my last Sunday in the church I have served 24 years.  We have members who were born during my ministry here....going to be tough.

David: Don't take this wrong. You are on a new phase of your life and even though it may be a tough thing to do remember to be grateful for all the good you have been fortunate enough to do and hopefully have had some in return. It's just a change, not an ending. Your life still has meaning and purpose...you will find that there is still a lot of good to be done.
