Trip to Acadian Woods Bows Today!
« on: June 02, 2007, 08:08:00 PM »
My co worker and I got transferred from Savannah, Ga. to Slidell, La. yesterday and what did we find, Acadian Woods Bows. I called Tim Mullins and he invited us over. Tim was the perfect host and showed us his shop and his works of art, aka, his bows. We got to shoot his 3pc. Treestick and WOW! it's amazing! My buddy was thrilled as was I. My buddy talked Tim out of a beautiful bacote riser and a set of Tims personal limbs and Tim was gracious enough to sell them to him since my friend didn't have a bow. I'm ordering me one this week, could have saved myself a ton of money had I looked at Acadian Woods first. A special Thanks to Tim Mullins, Acadian Woods bows for the great experience. Rich B.
I ain't had this much fun since the hogs ate my little brother!

He's a class act, no question about it.  And I see his bows are still works of art.

I had that same experience in the early part of 2000!  The wife and I were in New Orleans with friends and I got up one morning and went over to Slidell to Tim's shop.  I was looking for a one piece bow, Longbow or recurve, and ended up purchasing a 3piece T/D recurve.  Tim is great! Maybe next time I will get the one piece recurve like I planed!

It's hard to believe that you don't hear more about these bows. I've shot several really REALLY like the recurves he makes. I've been a big fan for a long time now but don't currently own one. I almost bought a right handed one one night when the owner (a friend) had too many barley pops and decided he was tire of his. That bow shot so nice I would have gone back to right handed shooting. LOL

I've been looking for a used LH recurve for quite a while now. They just never seem to come up. I think that says something about his bows. People who get them don't let them go easily.

Sorry guys, my pics of the bow don't even come close to doing the bow justice, that tulip wood on the limbs is something to see in person and the overlays are incredable. The price, I really don't feel right to disclose it. Tim did us extremely right though. You'd be pleased at just about any price for one of these beauties. I'm still stoked over Terry's bow, I think I've been holdin it more than he has, lol! I've got a high dollar famous maker bow and Tims bow is a total joy to shoot. The arrow shelf is grooved and nicely radiused for excellent tuning and fletching clearance. They are great shooters, quiet, smooth, and super fast. Gotta love that combination.

Tims bows shoot better than they look, and they look pretty darn good. His ridged, grooved shelf provides sort of a built in rest and provides great clearance.performance is on par with any of the top notch bows.I hear he is making a carbon limbed recurve that has a little extra zip.

The treestick is without a doubt the most accurate bow I have ever shot. I wonder if some of the more highly reflex/deflex longbows are giving up some accuracy in their design. The Treestick has a nice amount of RFDF but maintains a tremendous amount of stability. Sometimes even when I screw up a shot the arrows still hits pretty close.

I havn't shot this consistantly with any other bow at any price.

I need to order another so I'm sure to have enough to last me for the rest of my life cause I'm done looking for the ultimate bow.

Great bows and a great guy.  I have a one-piece Treestick that's my "go-to" bow.  I have other bows that I shoot, but it's the Treestick that goes to the deer woods.
