For those of you who don't know what Herdbull is talking about regarding the huge buck walking down the fence, we let Marty sit one of our treestands that year and I filmed a giant 180 inch plus typical B&C buck walk right down the fence to our hero Marty. It walked up and stood broadside at 14 yards and our hero failed us miserably. UB

I heard that Mike's promoting some kind of new fangled head layering system for keeping your noggin warm on stand . . . from what I've seen it's nothing more than 2 or 3 knit caps stacked like discarded tires on top of his head.  Might work, but it made both of us look like we were two of the Seven Dwarfs:^)

By the way, I was just looking over the list of chapters coming your way in the new DVD "Essential Encounters" and suffice it to say - I don't think you will be disappointed.  Great stuff!

The thing about hats is, they need to move with your head when turning sideways and up and down, and not be so wind proof that they block out too much sound. We are hunters and we definately hunt with our ears. Trying the find the right ballance between heat loss and still being able to hunt for many hours is the key. Mike
