Anyone familiar with Chris Cox (Habu) older bows?
« on: December 26, 2010, 04:29:00 PM »
Anyone know anything, good or bad, about his older bows? Friend of mine sent me one a couple days ago. This one is a one piece called "Mamushi" with serial #51199 on it. Says hand crafted by Christopher Cox. Its a 60" bow with black glass on the belly and the rest of the bow is grey with some red and black glass in the riser. Shot it a few times, and it feels like a nice bow. Any input would be appreciated fellas. Thanks

If you can't find any info on it, give Mr. Cox a call.  He is a pleasure to talk to and will never make you feel like you are wasting his time!

I had the First LH Mamushi decribed like you say above, Very Fine Curve, I talked to Chris about it and he gave me its history, he said "Nothing" at all compared to what I've been doing, but a fine Bow none the less, if I were a Curve shooter, I'd still have it, it shot and looked Great ...

Good info guys. Thanks. It does shoot fine, I'd agree, but I'd like to shoot one of his vyperkahns. I wouldn't say its the nicest bow I've ever shot, but it would certainly be all the bow a fella would ever need.  I'll give him a shout. I'd like to know a little about it. Thanks again fellas.

If you want to sell that bow...get ahold of me.  No it will not compare to the vyperkhan, or even his older recurve, or the death adder, but still a great bow.  I'm a habu guy, so...like I said...I'd be interested in it if you want to sell it.
