DannyBows - You don't need to keep posting those pics. Once was enough for me and I immediately saved the pic to my Dream TC file.

That bow is not only remarkably striking, it offers an enviable looking practical camoflauge.

Thank you again for responding to my short 2 pc take-down question. The only short bow I have owned was my Little Bear back in 1969 and back then, it wasn't that short for me.

Drawing advice from TG's experienced members has once again proven invaluable. Peace of mind has no price.

You will enjoy your TC friend and a two piece will make it a great travel companion....

Good luck and don't forget to post pics when you get it  :)

I have several two piece Shrews with BowBolts. One is a 60" Super Shrew, and the rest are 56" Classic Hunters. Other than cost, I see no disadvantages to a 2 piece and many advantages that have been discussed by others. I won't order a one piece bow. The Classic Hunter is an amazing bow. I don't know how the ThunderChild compares, but I would like to shoot one and see. Cody Dixon (Steel) is getting a 56" ThunderChild, and he lives just about 100 miles away, so maybe I will be able to shoot his. Cody has shot a lot of Shrews, including a Lil Favorite I bought from him, so I will trust his opinion on how the CH compares to the TC even if I don't get to shoot the TC myself. That Dalmatian Ebony is very special looking. I like it a lot. I also like the design of the takedown grip on Big Jim's two piece bows. I just hope that grip will be as comfortable in my hand as a Shrew. For those of you who have shot both the CH and the TC, how do they compare?

Jim, you have any more of that pretty Dalmatian Ebony?

After recieving my TC in a two piece I just couldn't see owning a one piece any more.Jims two piece is state of the art in both beauty and function. His 2 piece system is second to none. You can pay more but you won't get better IMHO.Jim is also a great person to deal with someone I'd share a camp with anyday.

Danny,

That is a fine TC, now I know what I want my next one to be.  Has there even been an ugly bow by Big Jim???

Yes Buckster- there has been an ugly bow or two. I keep them in the cellar and only take them out for  night hunting. Seriously, it's in the wood. Seldom is there a bunch of fancy lines or curves in my bows. Mostly straight lines and beautiful natural "Gift from God" woods that I can not take credit for. I can tell how special some of these woods are when someone who is new to them comes to the shop. I can't help but give them the tour of nations! Woods from Laous, Africa, shri lanka, mexico, canada, Japan, and yes, there is a bunch of incredible woods right here in the great USA. and many other countries also.
Their eyes get wide with amazement. Woods that are bright yellow, orange, purple, black or blood red. Or maybe a combination of colors like cocobolo. Then there's always the wild figure or contrasting figure and spots and Oh crap! I'm doing it again. I guess I need to go back to work.
Ya'll have fun. Remember, it's supposed to be fun!

Buckster,
I have a juniper TC on order with exactly the same specs as your bow. The pics of yours make me drool all over my keyboard. Is your riser cocobolo? That is one outstanding looking bow, and if it shoots half as good as it looks, it has to be a tack driver. I continue to wait with eager anticipation. Big Jim needs to chain himself to his workbench and keep turning out those works of art.
