I couldn't shoot...

At first, I thought a new quiver in the making !

But I am glad I grabbed the camera.

you never know with badgers. I have seen them close; and had no problems; but also I have seen them chase a grown man as if they had a meal plan.

Sweet pics.  Looks like you and he were very close.  Those things can be just pure mean even if they look like they want to be petted.

IMHO - They smell worse than a skunk!

They will also "tree" a hunting guide on top of a T-post.  Now that is something to see.

Beware of critters that can run as fast backwards as they can forwards.  Have had quite a few run in's with badgers and they can be mean.
Always keep the wind in your face, and an arrow nocked.

I have a pelt with claws here in my office for reference.  Those are great photos and I smile every time I look at them.  Thanks for making a very cold day here, warmer.
