ASAT 3-D leafy camo, worked great in Texas hunting from the ground. GT3555's with brass inserts, Bitzenburger jigs for fletching my GT's, fletching tape, leather finger glove with the velcro on the fingers, Little tripod stool that swivels 360*, Dead down wind spray.

Still hunting for a couple more weeks, Got a shaggy longcoat have had some deer ridiculously close. Its a blast when they walk up 15 feet away in a cut milo field.

Finally had a one-piece longbow (MOAB) shoot for a few months without hurting my elbow--Thanks Jim. It shot straight, sweet, and filled the freezer twice.

Also, went with a homemade Asbell type quiver as apposed to a bow quiver, and it worked great.

Change is "ok" in moderation...

I have always been a recurve guy but bought a Bamabows longbow last year and got to shooting it so well I chose it as my primary for my elk hunt. Killed a good bull so guess it was a good choice....Shawn

Not realy a deer hunter but did get some varmit blood on a new to me long bow a few times. Hunting season is never over.

traded a Morrison Cheyenne for a Shrew and when I pulled it out of the box I was appalled by the insignificant twig that people wait nearly 2 years to get.. We've quickly learned to become friends however.

Headlamp (vs hand held); Rancho Safari short jacket and boonie hat; and polyester t-shirts (moisture wicking - which work well down here),and lime green fletchings (most visible low light color I've ever seen...).

Went from shooting easton legacy's to tapered cedar. Wood is so much quieter.

Well I wasn't ready last year so I practiced all year with my super K and closed the deal on a nice mulie buck with it this year 12/15/10 to be exact also used a snuffer 125grn head with excellent results. I'd post a picture but I don't know how.This has been a real goal for me as my so called hunting buddy makes fun of me for using trad gear. I took great joy in sending him a picture of my kill moments after recovery with my TRAD GEAR lying on the trophy.HAHHH!!!!

The little saw used to cut through the pelvic bone. Has a plastic tip so it won't punture the bladder. Blows right through the bone, everything comes out easily without spilling urine, pelvic cavity spreads for cooling. Love it! Takes seconds to go through.
I'm the official "gutter" in these parts when a deer gets hit, the police call me to clean it for them if I'm around. I get the hide. Done lots of deer. Quick wipe backwards and the teeth are clean and ready for another deer.

I tried some single bevel 2 blade broadheads. I was very impressed with the penetration and size of the hole they cut, a great bloodtrail also. Very close to the trusty old WW.

Shot a nice buck with a new to me BW PSA Recurve on November 4,2010. Shot a late season doe with a new to me 3 piece A & H ACS longbow.Both worked great. Now I am trying to get a doe ( only one Buck permit in Wisconsin)with a new to me 3 piece J.K. Chastain recurve. Also used a new home made fully enclosed side quiver, made out of tanned deer hide -- works fantastic, whole arrow protected and absolutly quiet, convient, lightweight, & carries around my back for easy walking in tough woods. Thanks Jerry.

Have been using a back quiver for years, but gave this Steve Catts side quiver a try this year.....I like it. Three broadheads and a Hex blunt carry quiet and protected; easy access, too.

One sweet new piece of kit I'm using now is this Becker BK-9 my son and daughter got me for Christmas.

It's a beastie great for clearing brush, making fire (if one is so inclined), general bushcraft and widespread mayhem.

New for me this year was

1. Quiver on my bow - Loved it.

2. Woodsman Broadheads and although I just have one kill with them I am very satisfied with them at this point and will most likely go exclusively with them next season.

It was probably the best year I've had for trying items that actually work well. Here's my list:

1. Tall Tines 3 piece recurve. (fast, smooth, & quiet)

2. Heater body suit. (perhaps the best invention in the history of cold weather hunting)

3. Muck boots..(a rubber boot you can walk all day in)

4. Deer cart.... (why did I break by back for years???)
