I want to buy a fletching jig and I need some suggestions. I am only going to flech a few dozen arrows a year, I would like to be able to fletch both aluminum and carbon also 4-5 " down to the 2" blazer fletchings. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should buy?

any single fletcher will work just fine, i tried the arizona but didnt have enough helical for me so i got one from.........um....basspro or cabelas , anyway the bohning works just fine...and cheep!!!

Buy the Bitz and you'll never buy another one. "It only costs a little more to go first class." Cheaper in the long run..

Get the Bitz- solid accurate construction- buy plastic and you may regret it later. I tried the arizona and never liked it.

Yup, get a Bitz. If I can fletch an arrow with one, anybody can.

I agree with buying a bitzenburger.I bought one thirty years ago and it's still fletching arrows.It may cost a little more but it's worth it.

I have been using the same two bitzenburger jigs for the passed 20 + years you just can't beat them.

Well Im just going to throw my opinion in there I use a Jo Jan (modified by me) I wish I had pictures of it, but the bitzenburger are easier to deal with....what ever you do don't go anything but a metal jig NO PLASTIC

I feel the Bitz is over priced.
Ive had 2 Jo Jan multifletchers for a long time now. Though not as refined looking as the Bitz, They work perfect! All metal and more durable than you'll ever need. In a perfect world, you would be able to try them both and decide if the extra cost of the Bitz is really worth it.
Course when I bought my Jo Jans they were $65 bucks if I remember right. I know they have gone up! :rolleyes:

I've got a couple of Bitz, Bohning and Jo Jans They all work fine. Pick one that you will want to spend your life with. I wish I had gone with the Bitz first.

if you have a scheels sports near you (may just be a midwest chain) they have bitz jigs on sale for 60 bucks

well i use a jojan and its Great it does all the fletching i need to do.

JoJan, single feather and fletching tape. Cheapest route right there. It's quick with the tape, and like you I maybe do a dozen a year. (Thanks to AD Trad arrows - bullet proof!)
