Recurve Arrows - need help
«

Hello All,
I just purchased an Assenheimer recurve. It is 52# at 28". I shoot about 29" so it is about 55.5#.
I am thinking of CX Heritage 350's at about 31".
Would you add weight up front if 125 gr points are used?
Recommendations very welcome!
thanks,
Slinger2

The 350 is a pretty stiff shaft, even at the longer length. I would go with a 100gr Brass insert and 145-200gr points.
Personaly, I would opt for the CX 250. with 100gr Brass and 145gr points.

Guys, thanks...I will go with the 250's with 100gr brass and 145-150 pts...since I pull 29" I am thinking at least 30.5". Sound reasonable?

I think you will be right on the money. Congrats on a great Bow also, Those Assenheimers are great shooters! Smooth and quiet. Not to bad on the eyes either.

I shoot a 54 @ 29" (my draw) Fatal Styk. I shoot CE Heritage 250's, 30.75 long w/ 145 up front. They are perfect for that bow. Similiar to your set-up?

I agree with all of the above. The goldtip trad 55/75s w/100 up front will work good too.Not quite as tough as theHeritage ,but a lil less expensive. The blem ones from Big Jim are a great buy as well, but I think he might just sell the shafts.Yeah,Ky..Rob is right too,the Assenheimer is a great bow.Good Luck.

I have the 250s with standard inserts 125 points 31". Out of my 51-52#@30 recurve they are to weak. On the other hand 340 Trad only 31" with 250 point are perfect. It is a real big jump between 250 and 350. I would guess the 250s @ 30" standard inserts and 125 or 145 would be just right.

Go with the AD Trad Lights. Very forgiving with spine and easy to tune.
