Solana Ranch -What a ride into the New Year
« on: January 03, 2011, 07:33:00 AM »
This hunt was a success in so many ways.

From first trad kills for some, first trad deer for some, the biggest buck I have personaly seen brought in at the ranch, two wild hog shootouts, and the obvious presents of Chris Surtees along with us in spirit.

Stay tuned.......this is gonna be a grand hunting thread.    :campfire:

I have been waiting.  Glad it was a great trip!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Wow, Terry, congrats to the gang! It was nice getting to come out the other night and meet all you guys (sorry I did not get to visit with you more, Terry. You went to track those pigs and I had to leave before you got back). Can't wait to hear all the stories and see the pics. I really enjoyed visiting with Curt, Skylar and his dad, and Wile e Coyote and all the other guys. Maybe one of these days I'll get to make a hunt with all of y'all.

See ya later,

Bisch

Larry Surtees was kind enough to call me from the road and fill me in on the hunt after knee surgery caused me to stay home. It sounded like a great time with double the animals of last year and without the mud. Larry was very touched by the outpouring of love for Chris whom I know was greatly missed by all there. Everyone has good stories to tell, and I am looking forward to reading them and seeing the pictures. Congratulations guys. I plan to be there again next year if I can stay healthy.

I got some texts on this one too. But I was told to zip my lip. All I'll say is there are some good stories to follow! ;>}
