Skyler,

Great shot on your first deer. Most guys don't hit em that well even after they've shot a few! Looks like that broadhead did its job and more! That looks like a VPA???

Keep it coming guys.

P.S. Who's camera was volunteered for the inside the body cavity shot? Gotta wipe it off a little after that one. Nice photo!

Skyler, Don, Curt, Terry, Jack, Boyd ... aka Stabow, Izzy, Michael, Jeff, Wayne .... Those boys can shoot   :scared:

There was a Glenn Dell buck target set up outside to get you back in the groove after a long journey to Texas. This group would make you proud to shoot traditional bows, they could shoot.

While the hunting was indeed good, meeting all these folks was the best. Every corner of the US was covered except the Southwest, and Danny traveled all the way from Guam.

The outpouring of compassion and love to Larry Surtees was overwhelming. Never have I seen a better example of brotherhood than with this group of Traditional Bowhunters. I am so glad I had the opportunity to be there. Even in this time of sadness there was much joy and friendship.

I was so excited for Sky when I got the text that I started shaking in my stand!  Two hrs. later when we got to his stand to start the recovery, my stomach was in knots!

Enjoy the recovery videos...

There was not a more deserving hunter of this experience than my not-so-little buddy Skylar Wilson!

Congrats again buddy, it couldn't have been done any better!

My morning hunt took place in another familiar stand, "The Grandstand",  The tripod I took my funky buck out of the last time I hunted Solana.  It ended up a little slow, only seeing one deer...

But my morning was made with the news from Sky!  Don later told me Sky was so "tore up" that he couldn't understand him when he called after the shot. He told him to hang up and send a text because he couldn't understand a word he was sayin'!  Good stuff!!!

My pix of a very special morning for all of us...

Excellent shot Skyler!

Congrats and a lifetime of happy returns for you!

I think it was page 3, with all the arrows, when I saw SEVERAL of the same design, I just KNEW they were yours.

One happy group of hunters right there, but more importantly, lifelong friends!

This was already one amazing trip, but little did we all know what was still to come!
