Forgot to add I have never met Skyler, but I have watched him grow up through his post. I had to laugh when I saw him taller than Curt in that pic Skylers Dad took. Good stuff.

Great job you guys!

I loved the videos of the recovery of Skylers' doe.

It made me think that for future hunts down there you could bring along a tool that would aid in recovery.

I believe a snare pole could have made dragging his dead deer out of that brier patch/thicket easier and a lot less painful...lol

Congratulations to you all!

God bless,Mudd

Yeah Boy!!!...thanks for taking that video Curt...that was really special.

Skyler had really grown since the last Solana Hunt he was on two years ago....grown in more ways than just size.

He's got it together, and at 15 years old, he was NOT a boy among men in this camp.  He heard me telling of a story about a friend of mine.  I was telling my friend that he should have gotten another arrow into an certain animal that he definitely could have.......and Skyler took note and applied that not long after this doe recovery.

Congrats again Skyler.....that was a GREAT shot you made....and one I've come to expect from you.

Wow this is a great thread! I'm enjoying the heck out of this and don't want it to end anymore than you fellas didn't want the hunt itself to end. This is a special one, and you're all doing a fine job conveying the feelings that came with it. Congratulations to all.

Can't wait for more!

Yep...that hog of Don's was a really unique one....I'm sure he looked beautiful on the hoof.  Great shot by Don as well on that one.
