Following this as it developes, and all I can say is I am very jealous...But also very happy to see the achievements on this trip,(congrats Skyler), and the success both with animals and friendships that were made!

Awesome stories. Congrats to all, especially Michael. Wonder if you would have jumped in that fast if it had been Don's pig on the ground. Ain't sure that knife would have been big enough to handle that brute.

Michael is without a bit of doubt, "The real deal"!

Friday afternoon would belong to Skyler in our group. So I'll wait for him to come on and explain a bit....

Another member of the hunt had something happen that was pretty cool as well...in a BIG way!

A lot more to come fellas!!  A LOT!!

I couldn't make out anything in this pic, so I tweaked it a little. Does this help?

That's good to hear Curt! I'm looking forward to it coming this spring! Really want to check it out! Maybe you could do another thread just on your thoughts on how it performed.

By the way guys, this thread is pretty awesome too!!!

I didn't have much action the afternoon after my doe kill. I sat in the same stand and saw 3 button heads and a 15 inch wide 4 pointer. The following morning was slow as well, with a doe right at daylight being all that I saw.

But that evening, everyone would be in completely new spots because of the change of wind direction. I would be hunting out of a tripod set up on a "DeathTrap" that had never been hunted before. I climbed up in the tripod and got settled in. It was a beautiful evening to be hunting. I sat for a while taking in my surroundings. After a little while, I heard what sounded like something walking behind me. I looked over my left shoulder to see three good sized hogs walking through the woods...straight for the trap. I eased up my bow up and positioned myself for a shot. The first hog walked out of the woods. It was a big, beautiful silver and grey hog that I would have loved to have shot, But she kept her distance at around 30 yards. But the second, a good sized black and brown hog, was about 18 yards, broad sided....
