Creative question for arrow builders

Was just out at the workbench finishing some arrows....cut off about 3 tips and put them in the small box of "cut offs" I've accumulated.  Other than bow holder pegs, anyone done anything else creative with these leftovers?  I know, it's Monday night and my brain is fried from work.

I've used some as pegs on my flemish string jig. I like the pegs better than nails.

You can use them to add a wood footing to Aluminum shafts to add stone points. I have one small piece that I added a old Magnus I 2-Blade and it's on My one quiver.

When I do cedar shafts I save the scraps and put in my hunting clothes beens. In a cheese cloth type material so the don't get all over the place.

My wife keeps them near the fire place to start fires with.

I use to seal them and carry them for fire starters. Good water proof/wind proof matches or fire starter and these pieces of wood start up fast.

I make coat hooks and hang up hooks with them. Just nock taper the end and add a nock. Drill a hole in a 1x4x1 about 3 feet long and you can hang 5-6 pegs on it. Great for hanging binos calls and what not. With the aluminum cut offs my kids make wind chimes.

Thanks for the ideas y'all.  Through the years I've made several peg holders for around the place for hanging gear.  Mounted one about a foot above my work bench and use it as an arrow stand of sorts.  I'm definitely going to borrow Stumpkiller's idea and build a broadhead stand....I tapered a couple of them for final sharpening heads on a stone....until Mrs. Claus dropped a KME in my lap for Xmas...lol.

Me too. But this one was from a hardware store dowel. I added about three inches to a damaged aluminum shaft bringing it back to 31" bop. There's about 2" in the 1916 shaft. I shouldered the 5/16 wood with a drill and sandpaper to reduce the diameter so it would fit inside the shaft.

No stone point though. Old Bear greenie.

when i cut ceddar shafts, i usualy use them where i store woolen clothes, it smells good and get the moths away

I just pulled a box of camo out of the attic over the weekend.....had shavings and several of these in there.  Forgot I'd put them there....but it has been about 5 years since I've had a chance to hunt.  I fully intend to chase Turkey's this Spring, though.
