Cabela's Bogbusters. Neoprene uppers, rubber low cut bottoms, easy on/off, warm and durable.
Don't leave home without them. I live in mine in Alaska.

Can't argue with Kevin's suggestion and if I was going to replace the cheapies that I have I'd take a hard look at the ones he mentions. My SIL loves his. I don't wear hip boots too much as where I hunt usually doesn't require them except when I'm along the rivers fishing or hunting in the boggy stuff.

dont rule out breathable chest waders.
when i was guiding that is all i wore...get a good pair of hiking boots that fit over them and you will have better ankle support than any hippers.
if i were in the market i would look at cabelas "jean-cut" waders if they still make them.
one nice thing is that w/ the waders you can always just sit or lay down and keep your rump dry, and they pack smaller.

I like the Lacrosse brand for hip waders, but probably the biggest sellers are the brown one's that WalMart sells.($18.96). Also would look at the chest waders that homerdave recommends. I use the dry plus one's that Cabelas sells for duck hunting and anywhere that has the potential for being "swampy"

If you are doing the occasional crossing or plowing through a swampy area you can get Wiggy's. That is what I did and they held up fine! Wiggy's cost about $60, roll up small and VERY light.

I agree with Kevin. I used Bogbusters my last trip there. They're tougher than one might expect, and the neoprene provides some additional warmth. But do take along a patch kit. They're not indestructable.
