I love labs I have had 4 during my lifetime all black, and they are one of the smartest and well mannered breeds that there is. My most recent one died about 2 years ago and I still miss her badly. Smartest dog hands down that I have ever had bar none. She was more than just a dog, she was my best friend and went everywhere I did. She stayed in the house and even slept at the foot of my bed.
You two are gonna have alot of fun together. Cherish every moment you have with her cause they only live about 12-13yrs. and it's not near long enough for me.

You did good with that one! I love my blonde bomeshell Abby(my lab)she loves to come shooting with me. Just about everyone knows her by name at the range or any 3-D shoot. If I bump a feather or move the bow she thinks we are headed shooting. Can't use dogs for deer in Utah but she's great with the birds. Good luck with the new hunting partner.

Looks like she's got it all, smarts and looks.  I've raised labs for years, and will always have at least one in the house. Congrats!

You are very lucky to have a dog like that. You can't beat a good lab for a house dog, hunting, trailing, retreiving etc. Have fun with her!

Congrats to the both of you!  Enjoy each other's company.  Just a word of warning, the years fly by with a great dog and all to soon things begin to slow down.  Trust me I know, Jake my yellow lab that I rescued just can't go the distance anymore, so we get out for the short walks as much as we can.  He still enjoys all that he gets.  Take care and have a great time together.
