Most consistent spine among carbon shafts?
« on: January 11, 2011, 02:22:00 PM »
I need to buy some new arrows and I was wondering if anyone had an idea which of the "wood look" carbons had the most consistent spine?

I never found any spine differences that mattered. All my GT's fly the same as the next and all me CE's fly the same as the next. I hear about inconsistent spines in carbons all the time, I say shoot them and tell me which arrow is "bad" and I will cull it out. Buy the shafts that match your budget and weight considerations. Just my 2.321 cents

I have found that Easton Axis,Beman ICS and MFX,Carbon Express Heritage and Maxima have all been consistent in weight and spine in arrows I've made for my bows. But I'm sure there are many more, these are the ones I shoot mostly.

Im a big fan of the CE Heritage. use 150 250 and 350.  No complaints at all. In 3 years I have not broken one.

using the CE's and  Stu Miller Dynamic Spin Calculator  produces great results.

The most consistent shaft overall is Carbon Tech, but in the woodgrain MFX Classics and Carbon Express Heritage I've found really close to published specs everytime that I've put them on the spine tester.  dino

MFX Classics as well.  Also have come to like the Easton Full Metal Jacket carbons.
