Your riser is actually 13 inches. With the T.T. longbow limbs your bow will be 58".

The Trad tech limbs are the best bang for your buck out there...The Black Max are a great recurve limb and the wood grain longbow limbs are extremely smooth!!

2 Barrels is right 13" ILF, 14" OAL... And Black Max limbs are the best $120 ILF limb out there, the carbon has the same performance, so save your money. And a $120 limb is not a $700 limb, so until you can tell the difference stick with the Black Max.
I have yet to see a truly competitive target shooter shoot the cheapest limb they can find,Hunting is just a different Target.  Better to buy a set of used WinEx, Samicks.

When measureing a ILF riser you measure the distance from center to center of the limb bolt's.On your riser this will be 8 inches. Then you add the distance from the center of the limb bolt to the end of the limb pocket. That is a standard of 2 1/2 inches. So you have 8 inches between the limb bolts plus the 2 1/2 inch measurment from each end of the riser. This gives you a total measurement of 13 inches.I hope this doesnt confuse you to much. And by the way bowbldr is Bob Morrison. He's the guy that built your riser so he should know.If there's anything else i can answer for you feel free to PM me.Jim

kibok&ko I shoot the mini Morrison riser as you
have ordered. the 14" and the 13" are one in the
same. I shoot one of mine in a long limb profile.
the limbs are from sky. they are 50 pound limbs.
for me the long limb distributes the weight in such a manner as to create a smooth drawing bow, that does not feel like 50 pounds. if you go
with medium length limbs, get 40 pounders to get a
45-50 pound ILF.  long limbs vs. mini 13/14 riser
makes a 58" bow. mediums make a 56". shorts make
a 54". good luck, and have fun. hope this helps
Bob Morrisons ILF risers are top of the line. I
am sure you'll love it.

I just got a Morrison mini 13 metal ILF riser and love it. Wish I had bought one sooner. I also have a 17' Titan. Bob really thought out the design on this mini 13. There are so many things I like about the Morrison riser. I am shooting off the shelf with a stubby plunger. I have a set of medium and a set of long limbs. I have a 28" draw and the long limbs are the ticket. A 58" bow that is as smooth as silk. I really like the smaller lighter riser that with long limbs still makes a short bow. I have just had so much fun shooting it the past few days.

the "long" limbs are 25". on your mini riser they
will make a 58" set-up. there is 8" between the limb "butt ends" when assembled and veiwed from the front. also, when ordering limbs make certain
to know the poundage they are rated at vs. the
riser length. example = 50@28 on a 17 inch riser
will make 54@28 on your 13" riser. add 1 pound per inch of riser drop to determine. just consider your riser at 13" to make things come out correct.

I've shot them both and own the Carbons.  The above statement is not accurate in my opinion.  The 120.00 Black Max limbs are a heck of deal for the money, but the carbons are smoother, quieter, and and a little bit quicker.

kibok&ko,just call tradtech archery and tell them
your riser length and they will walk you through
the selection process, and explain the riser length vs. poundage thing. I've got 3 of them and
the equation above is correct. you gain 1 pound per inch of riser drop in most cases.

I'm sure Mr.Morrison was just assuring the thread starter that the Black Max's were a great buy considering his stated "shy" bank account.

The set of limbs in the pic are longs. Every set of limbs can preform different. The testing I did here on the Black max Fiberglass and carbon, shot from a shooting machine though a chronograph, Speed was basically the same, You can check with Pete Ward on this one....I have never seen a carbon as smooth as fiberglass, but everyone perceives smoothness different. If your happy with your limb setup that is all that matters.

Have to agree with Bob. I own both TT black max wood/glass and carbon. Have not shot through a chrono, but to me I cannot tell any difference. I personaly would not spend the extra $100 for the carbon. Would like to own a set of Morrison longbow limbs.
