Any info on Knight "Baron" recurve?
« on: January 12, 2011, 09:32:00 AM »
I came across an older 50's style recurve called a Knight Baron.  Does anyone have any info on these bows?

Thanks

That's a good bow.

Made by Doug Knight from Jefferson, Oregon. Believe he built bows from the late 80's and got out of it around '98-'99 ??

He used mostly yew for the limbs, which he cut, seasoned and made into laminations himself.

I've got a 60", 55lb Baron he made for me in '97, has really beautiful wood - bubinga riser & yew limbs under clear glass, plus it shoots good.
