Heavy field points?

I need some heavy fp's for my Beman classics 9/32" in 145 and 175grs.  Anybody know of a sponsor on here or where I can get some? The 145gr I can prolly find, but the 175gr I may have to use my BAR 5 to get it flush with the shaft and thats ok.

Also any good feather dealers on here too?

Custom King or Three Rivers has them. FYI 145 or 175 are not really considered heavy (more like average) for trad tips. Heavy is 250 or 300gr.

I just bought some 175s from Big Jim, another sponsor. I think it was $5 for a dozen.

I used the 175's that were sized for regular sized shafts and the back was tapered and there was no problem on the MFX's.

I knew you could get 100, 125,  and 145 grain field points in Axis/Beman diameters, but the smallest 175 grains points I've been able to find are 5/16ths. Am I missing something?  Nothing wrong with using those, they'll just be a slight offset that may make them harder to pull.

thats what I thought also.  I will check a few of these places out and see what I can find. the 175gr 5/16 will work if I use a tapered collar.  thanks!

If you don't want to mess with collars, I've chucked them in a drill like a bit and tapered the back edge with a file in just a few seconds.

Just ordered the FP's from Mike at Nocking Point and he's gettin them on the way along with 3 doz white barred feathers 5in shield LW!!! What a nice guy to deal with!!  thanks for the help everybody!

Sam, you do not need to use a tapered collar, the 175 gr. pts. are tapered back to 5/16" which makes them only 1/64" larger diameter all around your shaft. They are slightly more difficult to pull from a target but hardly noticeable really.
