The Michigan Longbow Association runs the kids shooting area at the Kalamazoo Expo in January, and also at the Bennefit $ Kids (B4K) in June.  There is just something special to see a kid (big or small) shoot a bow for the first time, and either hit the target, or pop a balloon.

What the club offers and does for the traditional sport is why my family and I joined.
