AD Lites?
« on: January 14, 2011, 06:38:00 PM »
I know you guys get this all the time but I really do need your opinion, thanks. Do you think a trad lite with 225 on the tip, cut at 29" and fletched with 4- 4" feathers would be close for two different bows drawn to 28". One is a center cut 62" long bow 52# at 29" the other is a 60" cut to center 50# @ 28" recurve drawn to 28". Thanks

Ya might have too much up front but only by a bit.

I shoot trad lites out of Widow 45# MA and a Widow 51# PL with three 5.5 fletches and about 165 grns up front. I also will add the 100 gr brass insert if I want a heavy hitter.  They fly good out of both bows.  They are cut 29.5"

Actually, you are asking for almost the exact same situation I have.

I shoot about the exact same arrow you are describing out of my 49-52 pound bows. They fly about identical out of my Tall Tines, Robertson, and Dryad recurves and my Mohawk longbow.

The only difference is mine are 2 fletch not 4.

I think you're at  a good starting point.

I love mine.  They tune easy and as I posted they can be "worked" with....

Good luck
