big jims quivers?
« on: January 16, 2011, 09:08:00 PM »
I was taking a look at these quivers and liked how easy they detach. I don't like to shoot wih a quiver on, but if I need to in a quick situation I would like to know if its quiet and stays put.
Thanks, Sam

IMHO the best small quiver made, for the price can't be beat.It does not move, and light as a feather.

Thanks! That's what I like to hear. Are you able to take arrows out when not attached and it it won't fold over on ya? Also what is in the hood, foam or free floating? And can you use small diameter carbons like beman MFX? Sorry for all the questions but I have been looking for the perfect quiver for me and really hoping I have found it!
Thanks

Most guys don't have problems with small carbons, but if you let me know when you order, I can make a special gripper for small carbons.

Yes you can take arrows out when not on the bow, but it is a two piece, so when you get down to just 2 you may have it move on you.

Thanks for the help guys, BigJim

If they will work on a Quinn Stallion recurve I'm going to order one. I especially like the easy on and off as I take quiver off when in tree stand.

Hoyt, the one nice thing about Jims Quiver is it doesn't matter how big your limb wedges are right next to your riser. The straps will easily go around them.It is so easy to install and take off.I got the smallest and just love it.Perfect for small lite bows and longbows.

Just got mine last week.  Yes to using MFX shafts in it...perfectly sized for that.  Very quiet...order a larger head than you think you need.  Mine is a 5 arrow and I should have ordered the large hood.  The rubber straps are heavy duty and once it's on, it ain't going anywhere.

I use one for this past season, I've got to others in the same style but Big Jim attaching straps are much better and never come loose.
