Be warned. . .

There is a downside to Howard Hill bows.

First you innocently buy a Howard Hill bow, and then, before you know it, you find yourself doing crazy things like this.

Rik, that is awesome! What's the specs on your bow to take down such an animal?

Specs on the bow in above photo:

66 inches long

75 pounds at 28 inches

Wood arrow tipped with a 160-grain Grizzly (860 grains total weight)

15 yard shot.

When the arrow hit, he jumped up, spun toward me and locked eyes with me. I was pretty sure I was a gonner right about then.

P.S. He's the smaller of the two bulls I killed on that trip, but since most of you have already seen the big bull's photo, I thought I would share this one. Brings back some good memories.

The picture made me swallow hard so I can't imagine what it must have done for you looking him eye to eye.

Thanks for sharing.

I hope my Hills don't try to drag me out in front of any game larger or with a worse temperament than a grizzly...lol

Thanks again!

God bless,Mudd

Man, I've gotta find a way to get some kind of hunting done with my bow. Deer season just ain't cutting it anymore!   "[dntthnk]"

Ben, great pics. Wish I could come down under and do some piggy hunting.

Rob or Ben,

Can you post a link for the video? I think I need to order the Another Boaring Weekend DVD ASAP!

it might help me get through the last few weeks of the winter doldrums.
