Taking out my 75@28 Howard Hill Half Breed for a shooting session (after letting it sit on my bow rack for several months), and shooting it with solid form, sheesh I even paused at anchor...  :archer2:

Sadness is it's raining here and you got me motivated.
Happiness is watching my kids getting ready to go out and shoot, the excitement and proud independence of having their own gear shows as they seem to grow up to little men and women for the moment until the shooting is over than it's back to kids again.

Returning to traditional shooting after a 10 year lay off.

Learning how to better my shooting from the wise folks here.

Planning future hunting excursions.

And last but not least......the sight of good arrow flight and the feel of a clean release.

A full freezer and enough wood split to last the winter. Leaving time to sit in front of the fire and enjoy it with a loved one.

Twin spotted fawns curled up with each other, being as still as can be, letting you look at them, because they know that you can't see them.

Heading out to a bowshoot on my H-D with bow and quiver sitting in the sidecar and knowing the looks I get at the shoot will be all envy.

...a choice...

...or a journey...

...influenced by luck-of-the-draw in pyschological make-up...

...not possible without having known unhappiness...

...best enjoyed...

...cultivated by kindness, helpfulness, service...

...cultivated through action / activity / endeavour / exercise...

I sure did enjoy Tolstoy's "War and Peace"; I strongly recommend it.
