a bow is born

i just finished this bow build and wanted to share with the fellas that dont visit the bowyers bench. its a 2 peice osage orange selfbow. 63" amo. 47#@28" draw. the entire bow build is on the bowyers bench. here are some pics. . i must say building this bow has made me appreciate what the fellas on the bowyers bench do. thier expertice and knowledge is amazing. without their help i think it would have taken me longer to finish. ruddy

That is great looking bow sir. Does it shoot well? I have a great interest in osage self bows these days.

its got a slight thump upon release of the arrow very smooth to drawthis is not a center shot bow so arrow spine is critical. ruddy
