I'm taking off the 9th and 10th along with the 11th just to be on the safe side- MO gun season starts on the 12th and the week before the guns start banging has always been my favorite week to bowhunt!

November 11th has some history to it. It is obviously Armistice Day. It was the day of the deadly storm that killed many duck hunters on the Mississippi River. It was the day the Edmond Fitzgerald sank on gitchee gomee (my best day ever hunting ducks).

This year it may bring me a buck of a lifetime. A special day for me to be afield.

You know...you have to hit quartering away in the llth rib, and get 11 inches of penetration (which is what will happen with bow creep after holding for 11 seconds, and going through your 11 long mental checklist before dropping the string)

Me, I think I'll start writing down 11 excuses to use ahead of time...just in case.

Let's hope we can be on stand at 11:11 on 11/11/11 and have an 11 pointer at 11 yards!!!!  Now that would be crazy.

One thing for sure...when you shoot your 11 point on 11/11/11 at 11am at 11 yards he will only run 11 yards after the shot and stand there 11 seconds then fall over. He will break your arrow leaving you with 11 good ones from the dozen you bought that took 11 days to get to you.RC
