« on: January 18, 2011, 05:53:00 PM »
hi all,

Can you tell me which method of payment you feel the more secure to send a payment in the US to a custom bowyer.

(wire transfer, card, paypal ?)

best regards,

++M

You need to ask the bowyer what method of payment he prefers.

Money order...so they don't have to pay credit card fees... or however the bowyer wants to be paid works.  ;)

Money orders from Europe are cost proibitive and thay take forever to arrive,maybe from Swizerland it is faster eh eh eh.
I have bought more than 100 bows from bowyers over the years and Credit cards are always been welcome.

I had a friend get burned when he used PayPal for a transaction when he had to file a complaint for something over, I believe he said 15 days.  That wouldn't be good for a custom order (like his order but not for a bow).  I would make sure it is a VERY reliable buisness with a proven track record!

I always used paypal since bank transfers cost to much. Youll have to add the 3% the receiver has to pay as a fee but thats not as much as my bank wants for a bank transfer
