That is great,  congrats!
44 years, that's only 4 years less than I am old.

Congrats.  I hope you have a long time to enjoy your freedom.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Thanks for all the kind words and well wishes. It's going to be different for sure, but I'm looking forward to doing what I want for a change.

Thanks again-Hap

Congrats!  Nicely done too I might add.  44 years is amazing.  Are you done with employment completely or will you dabble in something?  Good luck and enjoy!

I've got a bit under two years to go but that will put me at 55 and I will need to do something to supplement a little income.

Are you married ,then that part about doing what I want to for a change may need a retraction.   :goldtooth:    Best wishes

Congratulations! Enjoy......

Man - I am ready for that day to come.  Not necessarily the day I stop working but the day I can choose how I spend my time.  Congrats Hap!  Enjoy it brother.

Hap, Congratulations on your retirement!! I retired a little over a year ago and I am still not caught up on all of the "Honey-Do's" but I love it. Take time now to smell the roses and do those things that have been on the back burner for years and most of all spend time with the one's you love. I wish you the best and many happy and successful adventures. Oh yeah...go buy a new bow for a retirement present to yourself!

Ranger44-I walked out that door and I'm not going to walk in another. I have about 2000 POC shafts in the basement and have bought 15 dz. carbons and 20 dz. aluminums to play around with.

Lpcjon2-The wife says she don't want me in her hair, so I'm good to go.

Trad shooter-I've been looking at another Rose Oak. Best shooter I've ever had.

Thanks again-Hap

Hap,
First off Congratulations!  I am jealous!

Why not just punch me in the stomach to take my breath away or hit me in the mouth to knock a few teeth out?  I have a long way to go at 49!

I envy you!  But you have paid your dues, so to speak.  I think with all your "spare" time, you will be posting a lot of helpful hints for the rest of us here on Tradgang!
