Danny,

Great looking bow. Almost as nice as mine. I am looking forward to getting the HEX5 limbs Sid is making for mine. Great bows and great folks. Going to shoot mine in a 3-D shoot this weekend.

Danny stop it!!    ;)  I was perfectly happy with my Ultra with HEXIV limbs and had pushed aside the thought of purchasing another one with the HEXV limbs.  But now you go and post photos of the wood combo I was thinking about Shedua/Ebony.  Now it is going to be even hard to surpress the urge and if Sid tells me he can make the HEXV form core limbs with Shedua overlays it will be a done deal.  Beautiful bow, I am sure you will enjoy shooting it, but you will be buying a set of new limbs shortly.  That will be your punishment for posting these photos and forcing me to buy a new bow.

Danny, nice, vary nice.

I just found out about Border bows and they sound like a top of the line bow especially with the  HEXIV limbs.

Can you tell me more about the bow and why you chose it.

Any numbers on it?

How long did it take to get?

Price range?

Price of extra limbs etc...

David,

I wanted a short riser and that is why I chose the Ultra Super CX. I chose the XP 10 limbs because I wanted a wood finish. The new HEXV limbs are also available with a wood finish and I am gonna order a set soon. As far as price, you can go to Sids site and see for yourself. They ain't cheap but you pay for quality. No more expensive than anyother high end bow.

He had what I wanted in stock so it took a week from the time he got my money till I got the bow, super fast considering it had to come half way around the world to get to me. Course I chose a stock bow, he did not have to make it for me. I do not know how long the wait is if you order custom.

The riser is around $450 and the new HEXV limbs are $500+ with wood core and $700+ with the high tech core.

Kingwouldbe, the shipping from Scotland isn't cheap.  It added over $100 to my bow, although it only took three days.  Ted Fry at Raptor Archery (a TG sponsor) is Border's rep in the states.  If you get a bow through Ted, the shipping costs are spread across a number of bows which greatly lowers the expense.
