Just got some fletch lac paint and thinner,never used it before. How do you start out thinning the paint without getting it too thin?

Just add a little thinner at a time and check the flow of if. The good thing about lacquer is that if you get it too thin just leave the lid off for awhile and it will evaporate and get thicker again.

I thin my fletch lac clear and blue clear with a 1 to 3 ratio, i.e., one unit of thinner to three units of fletch lac.  Should work pretty good for colors as well.  May need to use a little more thinner.

When it's "right" the dipped shaft should run off to slow drips in 12-15 seconds.
