Titan vrs Morrison ILF
« on: January 21, 2011, 01:33:00 PM »
Think I have it narrowed down for my metal riser choice. Assuming the cost was the same, what are the pro's/con's between these 2 risers?

One big plus that Morrison has is the option to either shoot off the shelf (using a plunger if you like), or use a rest/plunger. That gives you a lot of options.

With the Titan you can swap out grips to accomodate your preference.

You can swap out grips with the Morrison as well. So far Titan only comes in one length, not true with the Morrison. Also the Morrison can be had in Metal or Wood and many cool combinations of.

No not on the wood risers, but if you are fairly comparing risers, it would make sense to compare the Titan to the Metal ILF of Bob's.

True... maybe the thread starter could be clear as to what risers he is referring to. Metal to metal in the same length would mean little to no real differences.

doh... only now did I see his "metal riser" statement.   :banghead:

I know Morrisons are American made and they have stainless steel inserts for limb bolts and stabilizer. The limbs can also be adjusted laterally. They also have a type III hard coat anodize.

I'd hold off until after Kalamazoo. Titan has a new prototype that, as I understand it, they're showing at Kalamazoo - looks like some major improvements - especially for "off the shelf" shooters coming soon.

I am prejudiced, because I like Bob so much, but I would pick one of his risers any day.

I have had excellent service from Tradtech. Quick and from my limited experience good to deal with and great shipping times.

My experience with Bob Morrison was nothing short of exceptional and he went the extra mile for me in my two dealings with him.

The Morrison is about $100.00's less than the titan. And comes ready to shoot of the shelf. You dont have to build the shelf up to shoot of the shelf. Both are American made.I've owned and shot both. But my choice would be the Morrison.Good luck with your choice.

Bill,

Maybe we can hook up one of Bob's new risers with a set of our new limbs and wring them both out a bit.

BTW I think the Morrison riser is better then the Titan.

I prefer the Titan

you will not know them, and what you do not know
you will fear. What one fears one destroys.
