Hopefully end of this month or mid feb but I'm thinking end of this month will be a bit better as there has been a bit of rain to make stalking a bit easyier.

Im in NSW mate but grew up in Victoria in-between sale and bairsdale on property. I grew up on hog deer and sambar hunting before I could walk with my dad. I've only shot one sambar with my rifle but have a fair few hog deer under my belt.

Yea I've done alot of photography when I was younger on hog deer and sambar and the sambar were alot more alert I found, but in saying that the country that sambar reside in is alot harder stalking country too.

Good luck.  I'll have to check back to see if the picts get re-sized.
