I have two 21 inch Hoyt Excels. My first was the standard black riser, so I ordered a blackout one a couple of months back. Both have med TT limbs on them, one the carbon/woods, the other glass/woods. Bows are 64 inches. I just recently got to shoot the blackout riser with the 45# wood/glass limbs and it shoots really good. Bow "feels" like its pulling in the upper forties as far as poundage. I have limbsavers at the fades on both pair of limbs and catwhiskers on the D-97 strings, bows are very quiet. Bows seem to like bh at 8 1/4 to 8 1/2. I draw about 28.5 inches. A 29 inch CE Heritage 150 with 125 grain point bareshafts perfect, so does a 30 inch GT Trad 5575 with 200 grains up front. Unless something changes, this Excel is what I will be hunting with this fall. I have some pics, but don't do photobucket. Sorry.
