Hunting Camp Photos,show your favorites
« on: January 25, 2011, 07:30:00 PM »
Well hunting seasons are over or winding down and now we look forward to next year as we conjure up memories of past hunts and the places/camps we stayed in.  Some of you will recognize this place and I look forward to returning there in a few weeks.

Old times, never to be repeated.

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Down in the valley by old Armstrong Creek
sits a little log cabin with wood floors that squeak
In the evening the soft glow of gas lights are there
While outside there are whitetails gray wolves and black bear.

Ron if I ever get around to building a cabin in the UP I'm gonna model it after Shrewhaven.

Wow, cumfy camps! And I was looking at a new pack tent today.  This is why.

A bear woke me up pushing on me feet.  So I went to a bigger tent next night.  Above the Frying Pan river in Co.

This was my Ohio tradgang camp this past November. A nice AEP campsite south of Cambridge, OH.

Camp site with some family members back in '07. I was elk hunting. The first pic, obviously, is the camp. About 30yds past, it opens into some great elk country.

This was deer camp 2009. Believe it or not this is an old Girl Scout Camp tent made in 1959.

My pal Doug outfitted it with a Wood stove which kept it pretty toasty.

He also killed a free range bison this year in wyoming we need to get him to tell that story for us.
