Jonathon the mailman just dropped this off.

Nuggy is very interested.....

She called in Crawler for backup and confirmation....

My pups can detect a Maddog everytime   :jumper:

45@28"

I'll string it up and see how it shots.  Be back soon or maybe not depending on if I can make myself stop shooting long enough to come back inside.

It's a Maddog Midsize longbow.  60" long and 45@27" which is my draw leangth.

I have to admit after stringing it up it felt like a toy in my hands.  It is so light I had concerns about if I would like it or not.

I put an adjustable nocking point on it and went outside.  My arrows of choice were my 5/16 birch cut to 28" and a 145 gr on the tip.  I felt the spine should match up nicely with this bow.

I started out at 15 yards.  After tinkering with the brace height and knocking point I got to the point were I felt good about backing up 5 more yards.

My group was ok but I still needed a few more adjustments since the arrows were showing slightly stiff. Not much just about 3-4 inches to the left.

I made slight adjustments until I was dialed in with this bow and arrow combo.  After putting it and myself through some shooting I can tell you this bow is deffinately not a toy.

I came back inside and put the bow on my arrow scale.  It showed a featherweight 14 oz.  I knew it was light but dang!

I took some photos of the groups as I tinkered but I didn't have the card in the camera.  I have no idea where the cord is to connect the camera to the computor so I will have to wait for the wife to get home before I can post them.

I am very inmpressed with this bow and have no doubt I'll be hunting with it very soon.  I have a 4 day trip starting tomarrow and you can bet it's going with me.

Thank you Mike  :archer:

The 145 gr was a bit stiff and I could just about work it out with brace height but was still getting a bit of wag in the tail.  I bumped the tip weight up to 165 and shot with field tips and broadheads.  That arrow combo seems to be about the best.  Very happy with the results.
