What string length and brace heigth for bear bow?
« on: June 08, 2007, 12:26:00 PM »
I recently bought a bear Kodiak magnum but have no string    :help:   .Specs on the bow says amo52" 40# and this number 9W0711.Also,what would be the brace height on this bow? I have been told by the seller that the bow string should be 48" with a max of 12 strands.Would be nice to get a second opinion on this.
Thanks a bunch.

That sounds right, for a brace height i would start at about 8" and work from there.

Yep, a 48" 12 strand will work. Most of those Bears like to be braced 8-8.5" just as FB said.

Is it FF capable? If so ya can go with 8-10 strands easily. If B-50 I would go with 10 strands as well. Shawn
