Maddog is 5 years old today
« on: January 27, 2011, 11:16:00 AM »
It's not always been a breeze but we've been able to keep Maddog Traditional Archery alive for 5 years today.  It all started Jan 27 2006 with $500, 10 strips of fiberglass, some laminations I of various thickneses I purchased, and a pint kit of smooth-on.

Thanks to God for keeping me well, and giving me the talent, to my customers, Tradgang, Vermonster 13 (who contacted me to build the youth bows) Terry Green, selling me the sponsorship, and Rob DiStefano who manages the website, and countless others, it's what it is today.  Each year, even in the economic problems, sales have grown, and I get more and more busy.  This Ausugst will mark 3 years since I walked off my job in ethanol production to build bows full time.  I have to add here; My wife Jill, never once called me crazy for leaving my $50k per year job, to make bows full time, she was just supportive and encouraged me the whole time.

I can't stress it enough, for all those I mentioned and every customer that spreads the word and helps me keep advertising costs down, I'm most thankful. With out you'all I wouldn't have this business and be doing what I enjoy so much.
