Never seen blue snow, sounds kinda weird, and if a rabbit is causing it, might be scared to eat it to.

European buckthorn. Apparently a chemical passes through them with the urine and turns blue when exposed to sunlight.
I have seen blue-green urine from deer too. I believe that is from eating cedar.

I'll be buggered. I saw that in Ontario when I lived there over 40 years ago and although I knew it was bunny pee I had no idea why it was blue. And I recall there being buckthorn in the area.

Thanks Ishiwannabe. Where did you learn that little gem???

I've seen that too a few years back, there was blue snow right next to a row of evergreens that were stripped bare by deer. They were so hungry they resorted to eating this type of vegetation, poor buggers.   :(

I thought they were drinking windshield washer fluid.   :biglaugh:

It was amazing how much blue snow there was in the rabbit tracks. I thought it had something to do with mating.
