3piece Hybrid
« on: January 30, 2011, 06:46:00 PM »
Hi all! I was asked to build this bow for a soldier coming home from his third tour(final one) in March. It is a 3piece Hybrid I make using hardware made by a machinist friend.I designed this to show minimal hardware(two allen heads recessed in back) and to look like a one piece. The slightly larger riser gives it just enough mass to soak up any hand shock. This bow has a Yew core/bocote veneers and the riser is Bocote/Walnut with Yew accents.#45@28" 62"ntn.
Thanks,Curt

Wow! That thing is beautiful.  I'm sure he'll appreciate that.  Do you make bows to sale?

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful bow...any way you can go back and resize them so they won't get pulled?

WOW!!!  I'm usually not much for 3 piece take down longbows, but that one is awesome looking!  I love how the limbs blend into the riser and how you minimized the hardware showing.
