how to take marks from the quiver off the bow limbs

i took my quiver off my longbow yesterday and i cant get the marks it left on the limbs off. i tried just rubbing it with water. anybody have any suggestions

You don't say what the marks are, but if it's some sort of residue, try Goof Off or Goo Gone, followed with a little paste wax.
