I like the way it looks as well.I have come to perfer colored glass myself.Just got tired of all the woods.I still like a nice looking riser but could care less about what is on the limbs.I wind up painting most of mine camo anyway.

I have a Saluki Ibex with black glass back and belly and a very dark cocobolo riser that looks great together. What's the old saying "Black goes with anything".

MartinD, you wouldn't happen to have any pics of that Saluki would you? My next longbow will have black glass on the back and belly but I haven't decided on a riser wood yet. Can't decide if I want the darkness of cocobolo or ebony or the contrast of bocote? Thanks.

I love dark bows. My hunter is dark gray with black limbs. It's awesome. That black archer is really nice. Came out after I received my HUNTER.
Everyone, have a great day and a better up coming season.

I like black glass as well.
But I have heard that they sometimes get a "milky" or "cloudy" look to them after they have been shot awhile.
Any truth to this?

My first bow was a Bob Lee "Thunderbird" 45#@28", 62 inches long. A beautiful bow. That is what I thought of when I saw the new Lee creation.

Lenny Rock set up the Bob Lee booth at the Strictly Sticks annual shoot in SW PA last weekend. I handled the Dark Archer. Pretty awesome weapon. Has a neat pewter/silver Double Bull medallion on it too. Perfect shorty bow.

Is the riser black phenolic? Or a black laminated wood?

I just wish it was 60".. Doubt I'd get along with a shorty.. Does bring back memories of the T'Bird, but he T'Birds handle was way heavy,, this thing looks like a lean mean fighting machine.
