Battle Axe kill from Jim Neaves at Centaur

This purpose of this story is to give props to Jim Neaves at Centaur Archery. I sent him an email on the 23rd(sunday night) of January and asked him if he could send me some Battle Axes and get them to me before i went on a trip on Friday. I was not expecting to get a reply until Monday , but i was surprised to get one about an hour after i sent it. To make a long story short he had 3 of them sent to me sharp as hell by the way and ready to be screwed on my arrow by Wedneday. I was pumped. I chose this head to do a trial run. I had shot a doe a couple of days earlier and made a gut shot(buck fever). There was not much blood but we did find the deer. I wanted to basically do a test run for my self. I am totally impressed with this head to say the least. It absolutely ate up the 2 does that i killed this weekend. Blood was ridiculous on both kills, one of them was a double lung at 25yds and i could see blood from my climber for 25 yds past where the deer was hit, without binoculars. Unbelievable.
Jim Neaves is a super upstanding gentleman, i have exchanged emails a few times and all i can say is i cant wait to shoot one of his bows because if he builds bows like he treats his customers then it will be a real treat. Thanks Jim for your hard work and speedy customer service.

Thanks guys, the heads fly like bullets. I have shot 3 different heads this year. The 300 Big Jim, Abowyer large bonehead and this one. All 3 are killer heads. This one is just a little faster. Not that i can really tell that much but it does shoot like the others.

Nice deer and yes Jim's broadheads are really awesome. This past fall I took a couple of does with Jim's Big Game heads--fly great--and they too produced tremendous blood trails all 20 to 30 yds from my stand. I'm going to get a few of the Battle Axes to add to my quiver. Peace!

I could have sworn Jim had told me once he recomended the big game head for deer size game and the battle axes for turkey. Glad to hear you've had success with the battle axes on deer!

That's a nice, big hole, and in the right place, would really be bad news for an animal.
This is good to know; thanks for giving credit where it's due.
