Thank you Trad Gangers from #3 to #29445
« on: February 02, 2011, 08:54:00 PM »
How does one family put into words what has transpired on this site over the past several weeks?  There are not enough words to thank each and every one of you TGers.  The Surtees family (myself, my wife Liz, grandchildren Christopher, Kelsey, and Justin) have witnessed generosity, caring, thoughts, prayers, and kindness beyond what we would have ever imagined -- it has been overwhelming to say the least.  My entire family read through the many posts regarding Chris' passing, and I don't know how many times we shared tears after reading these heartwarming posts.

Thank you just doesn't seem like enough, but please know that we are grateful and want to thank all of you so very much.

Children shouldn't go before their parents -- especially the only child in such a tragic way.  My prayers reach out to all those that have lost children because I now know how very, very hard it is.

Thank you.

Larry, Liz, Christopher, Kelsey and Justin

RIP Chris

Larry, it is good to see you back here again. I spoke with Justin a few times after I spoke with you through the site here. I hope everyone is doing well. You don't know how often I thought of you all, and it's good to see you back.

Hopefully time will help with the pain. And you're right, children shouldn't go before their parents.

Prayers still your way....

Larry I can't come close to imagining what the loss of Chris feels like for you and your family.

But everything that has transpired since will hopefully allow you all some measure of peace in knowing that Chris' life had a major impact on such a large multitude of people.

My prayers continue for all who loved Chris and for the healing of  your hearts.

God bless,Mudd

My thoughts are with your family Larry.  These are very tough times, but you must cherish all of the fond memories of what a wonderful person Chris was to everyone and anyone.  So very sorry for you loss.

It's not just time that heals your pain but how you spend that time. I know you will be doing wonderful things for Chris's memory and your grandchildrens future.

It's not what you reap but what you sow and you and Chris have sown much together on TradGang and we all thank you for that.

The very best to you and your family ... Ken

Having recently come back to the gang, I never had the opportunity to meet Chris but have come to know him just a little through writings of the kind people here.

I quote Elkken above as he says: "you and Chris have sown much together on TradGang"

It is we that should give thanks to you and your family for sharing the goodness of your lives here.

From my family to yours flows a warm and loving peace.

Larry,
You all are in my thoughts daily and I continue to have prayers for you all. I sure have enjoyed our emails and talks on the phone recently. It's sure is easy to see how Chris was such a gracious and caring person, after getting to know you. May the Lord bless and comfort your family.

My best,
Lanier

We'd all take on part of your burden if we could. I'm still very sorry for the death of Chris. I think maybe there's a ray of sunlight visible in your post, though...and that's a very good thing to see. Chris would approve.
