We have had a turn of really cold weather lately and I have been stuck in the house. Today was a little warmer and the light snowfall looked like something off of a Christmas card. I decided to get out and wander around a little.

The plan was to do some stump shooting but after I couldn't find the first two arrows I shot in the deep snow, I put the bow back in the truck and grabbed my camera. Here is what I was able to put the sneak on. The deep snow and falling flakes dampened any little noise I made. That or they knew season was over.

I was hunkered down in front of a busted down tree top. She was at 12 yards or so.

The cold had zapped my batteries and I just managed to get the lid slapped closed and get a shot of this group between 15 and 18 yards.

They hardly EVER do this during season! 8 yards.

I had a good day. Shot quite a few more pictures that I will save and look at during July and August to help with thinking cooler thoughts.

In a moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing. The worst thing you can do is nothing.

The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.
