Ken, I am hoping to chase some snowshoes. Any ideas where nearby?
I never know when I am working or off, so I will check this thread again.

well let me tell ya i guess it gets to a point when there is waaaaay to much snow and it is extreme measues to get through it even on shoes! Charlie went with me today and we STRUGGLED to make way. saw one rabbit with no shot. you just can not move them out of the piles as there is so much snow they hold tight or tunnel around underneath. i am BEAT! will post pic's latter.

I am still Tuckered Ken But had a great time.  You can see that smile on my face? It says it all.

Listen to Ken when he says Snow shoes are a must. Even with the shoes you were up to your waist  in spots. Glad he doesnt have any pics of me on my butt!

Jamie, the snowshoes are more north. We were seeing a lot of sign in the thicker pine area of the adks.  They are tough to see but I want to find one too.

If you want to go for a drive I will go looking for some with you.
Relax,

Man wish I could make it but its along way from Kansas to NY. Don't know if I could navigate a set of shoes or not. We don't get that much snow here and when we get the deep stuff(13" deepest I've seen here) just wait a day or two and it will melt away. But I love to rabbit hunt here.
Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.

I'd be interested in hunting some rabbits in VT. My fiances family has a lake house on Bomoseen and just bought a farm in Sharon. Lots of deer in Sharon but haven't seen much rabbit sign.

The snowshoes made it easier to walk Over the brush thickets!

In that last picture I was about 5 feet from the ground, you could see down under the bush.
