Who considers themselves a toxophilite?

a toxophilite is apparently a lover and expert of bows and archery, I never knew this, I one day hope to be a true toxophilite!!

But I am a "bowaholic" does that count for anything?

The definitions I've seen don't connotate being an expert as much as a lover of archery.  I think we all would qualify!   :jumper:

I am. But I've never heard of it being tied to being an expert. An expert, I am not! I've got bunches to learn. Doubt I'll ever get there.

But, I'm workin' on it. It just never ends.

I do not think I am a Toxophilite. I just enjoy archery. After 40 years, I am still learning something new every day.   :goldtooth:

Lover of archery - Yes
Addicted - Yes
Expert - by no means

"Toxophilus" is an ancient Greek word and means the friend the lover of archery, the man that want to learn all about it and lives with bows and archery in his heart.no need to be an expert just to have great love about it.i personally think that all TradGangers are truly Toxophilus!!

I'm mainly just a bowhunter. If I couldn't hunt, I'm not sure I'd even be shooting a bow. Clint
