a gent at work asked if i wanted to buy 2 curves he had he purchased them at a yard sale i said howmuch he said 10  he brought them in today #1 is a ben pearson international  35@28 #2 is bear grizzly 58in 45@28 shape is 8 out of 10 cant beat the price

I can imagine that conversation. "2 for the low, low price of 10 dollars! But wait! If you call now we'll throw in..." hahaha.

I thought I found a deal similar to that in November. A freind of mine in Texas told me he saw a Ben Pearson "Mercury Hunter" for sale in an antique shop for $4.50. I'd never heard of a Mercury Hunter but, that's what he said it was.

I was somewhat skeptical but, went to look at the bow anyway and noticed the top limb had been broken then poorly glued back together. Then I saw the price tag, $450!

I told my buddy he owed me a steak dinner for wasting my time. He reminded me I had been staying in his house free of charge for the last week. We agreed to eat at Whataburger and call it even.

I think I came out ok...

My son ran into a deal like that at a garage sale and called me an hour later to see if I was interested in the Bear bow. I said heck yes, go back and get it now. He hurried back and....gone! I told him just buy it from now on and I'll square with you later, whether the bow is good or bad. Lessons learned and it's nice to hear good old bows like your friend found, going to folks like you, that can appreciate them.
