Would ya'll have any room for a southerner? I've got plans to be in Nebraska in october and if they don't work out, I might drive north instead.
 Sounds like a real time!

Just checked Mapquest and it's about an hour farther than I will be driving to Nebraska, so no sweat. 13 hours and 43 minutes. 852 miles.

 Easy drive  :D

i have room or will find room for anyone who would like to come. i am trying to plan on doing a few more things this year as last year i had not put a lot of planning together before season arrived. this whole event is auctualy just a good way for like minded people to get together and enjoy a good time of hunting and friendship. it is not ment to be hard core hunting and first light to last light in the stand. however there is a good population of deer, bear and small game and i will do my best to put everyone in position to see game, the rest is up to you! i would like to do a little pushing if the deer are not moving and would like to cover a little more area with stands. i look forward to sharing stories and learning all i can from the different hunters and hunting styles. i just don't want anyone who comes to be let down by not seeing deer or upset about not taking a trophy as this is not what its all about. i am no guide nor is the land trophy caliber ( though they are there ), i am just a red neck who loves to hunt these beautiful mountains and enjoys sharing the hunt with good friends. its about getting back to the beauty of nature and sharing with others.

I can seriously hunt or I can go with the flow. Doesn't matter to me. I'm all about the journey not the kill. A trophy is what ever I think it is.
What does it cost for a non-resident?

Firs week in Oct? Well, than I'm sure Ru will be there too. (Thank you Chuck and Jim for pointing that out.) If we can all agree we want to put up with the excitment of a fourteen year old on his first big game hunt        :p
... I know he's been practicing and waiting for a couple of years now. We might not be able to stay more than the weekend but it will be great I'm sure.

Ken had said that he would like to try and do some "pushes" to get game up and moving.

Being as I have a "bad back" and can't sit very long,(plus,I'm just a natural born "wanderer" and prefer to "still-hunt") I would be more than happy to "still-hunt" around while others sit.

I was just "wondering" how many other "wanderers" are planing on coming?????

Well my friends.....I'm READY!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday my good friend Joe Skipp hand delivered my cedar arrows that I won in the St.Judes auction. White crown dipped with 2 orange hen feathers and a black cock feather and a orange nock. They are BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Joe's craftsmanship is OUTSTANDING!!!!!

I tossed around what I was going to do with these arrows. They are VERY special to me,as Joe is no longer making custom cedar arrows for sale anymore, and these are his last dozen. Then I had an idea.....

2 years ago at the Joan Leonard Memorial Bunny Hunt,I won a 1967 Bear Grizzly (47# @ 28") in the St.Judes raffle. This bow is "officialy" 40 years old this year and I decided it would be my designated "hunting bow" for this year.

Today I got to thinking.....St.Judes bow.....St.Judes arrows.....There's got to be some "MOJO" goin' on there!!!!!

I set down today and tipped 6 of my St.Judes arrows with 125gr. steel blunts for stumpin' and those elusive Black Squirrels. The other 6 I tipped with brand new, green Bear Razorheads, that belonged to my good friend Lou,who "made the journey" last fall.

I'm gonna stuff'em in my backquiver, grab my Old Grizzly, and head for the Adirondacks!!!!!    :archer:

My boys and I have a busy fall planned but this is close to home and sounds fun. I'll watch for the dates, but we hope to make it up. Thank you Ken for your very generous offer!
